Twin4Twin Hosts Successful Stakeholder Workshop on the Greek Smart Factory
The Twin4Twin project proudly announces the successful completion of an engaging stakeholder workshop focused on the Greek Smart Factory (GSF). This event followed the official announcement of the GSF at the 5th International Smart Factory Summit in Switzerland, where CORE IC Founders and Managing Partners, Stefanos Kokkorikos and Nikos Kyriakoulis, shared their vision alongside global smart factory innovators.
Held on June 26, 2024, at CORE IC's premises, the workshop brought together professionals from manufacturing, process, and mining industries, as well as industrial technology providers, research organizations, academia, industrial associations, and health & safety organizations. Their participation highlighted the importance of collaboration in driving innovation and technological advancement within Greece’s industrial sector.
A Trusted Platform to Network, Innovate, and Advance
The Greek Smart Factory (GSF) is envisioned as both a virtual and physical platform designed to support manufacturers and technology providers in their digital transformation journey. As a legacy initiative, GSF aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by offering an environment that seamlessly simulates real-world manufacturing settings. This enables key decision-makers to test innovations, explore cutting-edge technologies, and identify tailored solutions for industry challenges.
Through interactive partnerships and strategic collaborations, GSF will serve as a knowledge hub where stakeholders can engage in hands-on testing, share expertise, and develop industry-specific solutions. The platform will provide essential resources for experimentation, helping businesses refine new technologies and business models before making significant investments.
Beyond technical validation, GSF is committed to community-building initiatives through training sessions, pitching meetings, and brainstorming workshops. These activities will foster a collaborative ecosystem where industry leaders can exchange insights, tackle shared challenges, and drive innovation in an equal and inclusive manner.

Exploring Sustainable Business Models
A core focus of the workshop was developing a sustainable business model to ensure the long-term viability and impact of the Greek Smart Factory. Participants explored various investment strategies, resource allocation frameworks, and innovation management approaches to maximize the project’s effectiveness. The discussions emphasized the importance of structured financial planning and sustainable funding mechanisms to support GSF’s ongoing growth.
Commitment to Ongoing Collaboration
The Twin4Twin project team remains dedicated to fostering strong engagement with all stakeholders to bring the Greek Smart Factory vision to life. Continued collaboration will be essential in building a dynamic, innovative, and competitive industrial ecosystem in Greece. The success of this initiative will rely on ongoing knowledge exchange, strategic partnerships, and collective efforts to position Greece as a leader in the next era of smart manufacturing.
